The Sumo Mailing List is a group of people
from around the globe with only one thing in common: we love sumo!! The list is a discussion conducted
via e-mail. Topics include basho results, rikishi news, sumo games and any other sumo-related theme you can think of.
If you'd like to join in, send an e-mail to Majordomo@statgen.ncsu.edu
and include the words
subscribe sumo
in the body of the message. You'll soon be getting a zillion fascinating messages!
There's just one important rule: if you send a message that concerns results of the current basho, you must include the word "SPOILER" in the subject line. Many members of the group rely on tape-delayed broadcasts of the basho and don't want to hear the results until they see the tape.
The Sumo Mailing List Archive:
An archive of posts to the mailing list can be found at http://www.banzuke.com The archive is searchable, so it's a great place to do research on the topic or contributor you'd like to know more about.
This site, Banzuke.com, includes over 240 years (yes, YEARS) of Banzuke data on line, back to October 1757. A total of 659 tournaments at this time!
