All of these wins don't make sense. Takatoriki won at least once last basho
by yorikiri, against I forget who. Toki maybe?
Chiyotaikai can win by yorikiri. But these guys won against yorikiri
specialists!!
It's sort of an argument for yaocho but I think it comes down to fighting
spirit and saving their fragile bodies for the upcoming Kyushu basho.
It just goes to show that fighting spirit plays a big part in sumo whether
it's honbasho or not.
By the way, it's nice to see another post from Joe Kuroda. I missed his
regular "Rikishi Talk" posts last basho. They are always one of my favourite
postings. Thanks Joe.
