Pancreas cancer is most often not discovered until it is well advanced and
often spreading to the other parts of the body. This is the reason why it is
most often fatal. It is usually fatal in 90% of cases within the first year
of diagnosis. If it is discovered early, surgical removal of the affected
area of the pancreas as well as radiation therapy and anticancer drugs can
result in a cure.
I don't believe that Daishoho has been this lucky. Most cases of advanced
Pancreatic cancer are treated by using only painkillers. Hopefully Daishoho
will be well enough to attend his danpatsu shiki.
