ging-ko leaf hair-cut

I don't think the ging-ko leaf hair-cut as anything to do with it.  Hair is 
not a requirement of a sumotori, it is just a carry-over from the days of 
the samuari.  There is no rule saying you must have hair to be a sumo 
wrestler, nor you must have a ging-ko leaf hair-cut to be a yokozuna, or 
even a yokozuna attendant.  The ging-ko leaf hair-cut is just a visual aid, 
a nice touch, not a requirement of any sort.

I am sure that Fia gave the job to Wakanoyama cause he was an old boy in the 
heya, who has pulled off a nice comeback, after 5 years.  IMHO, he deserves 
the job more than any of them.  But I really have no clue why he picked 
Wakanoyama over Miyabiyama, but I really doubt the ging-ko leaf hair-cut 
came into play.
