Have near missed so many times on sansho or even yusho/jun-yusho in the
real hoshitori am glad to finally pick up one prize. Cheers.
(N.B. Should probably say normal side up hoshitori I suppose, as the
upsidedown one is no less real).

Well I think it should be like the normal side up hoshitori with at least a
yusho or jun yusho required. Let's not be rushing into any Yokozuna
promotion because that's what the public wants, or just because it will be
good for the upsidedown hoshitori ticket sales and associated businesses
;-). Isn't he a foreigner too? There's those issues of true Sumo spirit
embodiment that need to be addressed. His tachiai was a bit off last basho
aswell wasn't it? If he has the real metal then another basho should prove
it, if not, then better that he wasn't promoted. Whoops, I think the
Rijicho spirit just entered my body for a moment.
Chuck don't mind either way as Ekigozan-zeki's performance over the last
year is pretty impressive. Like I said gives a bit of a chuffed feeling to
get any prize as a cyber-riskishi and I'm sure the Yokozuna promotion would
be reason enough for your own small kyoenkai party, even if your heya is
only 4jo. Would have loved the rules to be not quite as tight for the
normal side up hoshitori, as came oh so close before my slow decline from
Ozeki-hood, but those yushos are pretty elusive.
Cheers, Pete (aka Puchashuzon).
