Nikkan Sports wrote that Waka decided to skip Nagoya-basho, since he
tried too hard to get back to hon-basho too early when he entered the
Natsu-basho and injured again. He does not want to repeat that mistake.

In the same article, Nikkan Sports also said that even now Takanohana
can't practice because of the shoulder injury, and it's likely for him
to enter Nagoya-basho.
