(Sumo) The Announcers

I know that the announcers for NHK haven't given up their day jobs, to give us
the  blow by blow on the Bashos.  So I am wondering just what those day jobs
might be.  Anyone know the bios on our favorite people?  Where are they from?
What do they do for a living?  Do they volunteer or are they drafted to do the
matches?  Any choice on who gets to be co-announcer with whom?  How do they
know about Sumo? Etc, etc., etc.
