[SUMO] 135 Athletes in Showa Era

I have a book called "Showa Sports Retsuden" published by
Bungei-Shunju-Sha.
ISBN-16-811818-5, C0175, P580E
It's a small book with the size of "Bunko-Ban" if that means anything to
you. Basically it means "pocket-size book."

Showa means the era under the Emperor Showa, or more well known to the
Westerners as Emperor Hirohito. The Era started in 1925 and ended in the
begining of 1989.

I don't know if these 135 Japanese athletes means the best 135 athletes
of the Showa Era or just memorable athletes of the era. This particular
book does not contain any professional baseball players or rugby
players, or I should say ruggers. The reason is that this particular
book publisher has published about them already and they don't feel like
repeating the information in this "new" book. I really don't know how
many players are listed in those "other" books.

In any case, these are the listed 10 rikishi in the 135 sports athletes
of the Showa Era.

Futabayama, Tochinishiki, Wakanohana-I, Kashiwado, Taiho, Tamanoumi
(Tamanoshima), Kitanoumi, Chiyonofuji, Takamiyama, Konishiki

Fortunately, I lived in the same days and years at least in the portion
of their life. Only Futabayama is the one I don't remember the actual
sumo, since he had retired when I was born. But when I started following
sumo, he was Tokitsukaze Oyakata and later became Tokitsukaze Rijicho.
So, I remember him as an Oyakata. And I heard and still hearing about
him and his greatness.
