If I may offer my 2 euros...
I am sorry if I sound too simplistic but isn't it the case some pre
and post war rikishis were active during the war years (i.e. between
1942-1945, Showa 17-20) ?
The war ended in August 1945. Didn't Futabaya retire after this date
so he qualifies also as a post-war rikishi ?
But since I don't have the books in front of me, I could be totally
wrong...then I apologized for wasting your time.
