Re: [Non-Sumo news] Wrestler trained by Rikidozan
Giant Baba was a baseball pitcher for Tokyo Yomiuri Giants team before becoming a
professional wrestler. When he and Antonio Inoki were trainees in the US, they formed a
tug-team "Tokyo Towers." Antonio Inoki used to be a truck-and-field athlete before being a
professional wrestler.
When they were recruited by Rikidozan, Rikidozan's tug-team partner was a former Maku(no)uchi
rikishi "Kairiki" or "mighty power" Toyonobori.
