Other odd ceremonies....

On the subject of performances of various sorts, I have always wondered what
consitutes and event worthy of two Yokozuna performing san-dan-mukae.

The only correllated event I know about was Chiyonofuji and Kitanoumi doing
it as part of the opening celebrations for the new Kokugikan.

I know Akebono and Takanohana have done it too.

In the ceremony the two rikishi (with the Tate-gyoji between them) adopt
three positions (from standing to crouch) in each position the rikishi have
their arm closest to the centre of the ring pointing towards each other, and
their outside arm, if I remember correctly, touching their cheast/stomach
(in much the same way as the "rise" in the Unryu-gata Yokozuna dohyo-iri

If there are more than two Yokozuna, is it the top two ranked at the time or
do other seniority factors come into play...?

Thanks

opportunity for the "hana-brothers to do it.
