What is it about sumo rikishis that they tend to marry older women and
ones already expecting ?

The Nikkan Sports reports that 28 year old Kitanoumi Beya's Ganyu
(Maegashira West 3rd at Kyushi with 3-12 record) married 33 year old
former "office lady" Manami Hiratsuka at Tokyo's plush Akasaka Prince
Hotel on 12th.  Among the 600 invited guests were Ozeki Musashimaru,
Musoyama and Kotonowaka. 

The bride is  5 month pregnant and they will have a new child in May.
"I felt relieved that the ceremony was over. I will work harder than
ever and do my best,"  said Ganyu.  He couldn't contain his happiness
though and announced smilingly, "I'd like to have 5 boys and will get
them all enrolled in the Kitanoumi Beya". 

Perhaps his oyakata-hood may not be too far away.
