[SUMO:side story] Kyokudozan

Kyokudozan, a member of the Japan National Diet and a former Komusubi
rikishi, gave a speech in front of the fellow members of the Diet the
first time. He represented the Komei Group, though he is not a member of
the Komei Party. His speech was full of sumo terms and criticized the
current Obuchi administration and leadership. Prime Minister Obuchi, in
return, replied to Kyokudozan's criticism with the sumo terms.

There are so many sumo terms in general Japanese langauge and it is not
that difficult to construct a speech with sumo expressions if you are
willing to put some effort.

It seems most of the Diet members enjoyed Kyokushuzan's first official
speech at the National Diet.
