Dale,

I just checked a book of old pictures, and the circular seating seems to be
in the first one; the rebuilt place hasd masu-seki in a square formation.
Other dating pointers are the posts holding up the Shinto roof (before
September 1952), and the double circle of straw rice-bales forming the ring
(before April 1931).
