A confirmed lurker, this is my first tentative input to the sumo list.
Why? Well first of all to let European sumo fans know that Eurosport is
now showing the November tournament (Thursday through Monday, as I
understand it), CET 00.00, GMT 11.00 PM.
Secondly, I must say I am appalled by the poor quality of the new
commentator they have digged up. The usual one is (to Amateur me at
least) knowledgeable and keeps throwing out interesting tidbits about
the sport, the setting and the rikishi. This one has seemingly learned 3
or four terms ("tsuppari" keeps coming up for instance), but cannot even
pronounce the names of the rikishi. Extremely disappointing!
