Re: [SUMO] Juryo promotion

So far, I haven't heard any report on Kotoinazuma's intention of retirement.
I interpret it that he is not playing with such idea at the moment. Although he
has been in Maku(no)uchi for a long period of time, he had promoted to Sanyaku
only once and stayed there for only one hon-basho.

For such rikishi, demotion from Maku(no)uchi is not significant reason to
retire. I think his case is similar to Misugisato. Misugisato decided to retire
when he realized that it is too difficult to stay in Juryo level.

In Kushimaumi's case, he did not face against Maku(no)uchi rikishi during
Aki-basho. If he did, it is not easy to demote him to Makushita, but since he
did not face any Maku(no)uchi rikishi, he could be demoted to Juryo based on
his record. I think four promotion means four demotion when we don't have any
newly retired rikishi. The only candidate to be considered the fourth demotion
to Makushita is Kushimaumi, I think.
