TV Japan viewing

Hello folks,

My brother just got the second dish so we now have the SF networks and TV
Japan available from DISHNet.  We are not paying for TV Japan, but my
brother was told that there are some shows (news I believe) that he can
watch without paying for it.  He turned to the Japanese news last night to
show me.  I impressed him by translating everything I could (e.g., He said
"from here" at the beginning of that sentence ;-).  Does anyone know which
shows are available without a subscription?

Secondly, my brother was told that it is $25 per month for TV Japan OR you
can order it on a per-day basis at $1 per day.  That means that you can
watch only Sumo and pay $15 per basho.  I will probably do that!
