Hello and Hello again!!
Today, we shall delve into the inner bowels of the Sumo rankings, down
to Sandanme East 17 where we may find the Mongolian rikishi who goes by
the name of Kyokutenzan from Oshima beya (aren't we all...). He is 25
today, and other than that, I haven't a clue or a single tidbit or
stastistic to pin to his name other than the fact that he had a 4-3
record and is on his way UP to the MMM (Murky Makushita Mire). Not to be
confused by Kyokushuzan ,who is finally (temporarily??) going in the
right direction; or Kyokutenho, who has unceremoniously slipped back
into Juryo, or Kyokugozan ,who is not "go"ing anywhere anymore
sumo--wise, or even Kyokudozan, who I gather from your posts is in a
house on a Diet or something.. The story goes that Kyokutenzan,
(birthday boy) was offered the shikona of "KyokuTarzan" , but politely
refused it saying (and these are not his EXACT words...) " Just because
we have a loin-cloth in common doesn't mean I have to be named after
him..."
I don't even know his real name, but I bet there are a lot of consonants
there..
