Wow, what a keen eye you have, Achim!  

While I'm grateful that Eurosport is now giving us all the bouts of each
basho, at predictable times on consecutive days (albeit much delayed and
edited), I can only envy those who can see the whole thing uncut, giving
opportunities galore to pick up these details.  And my envy is even greater
for anyone who actually has the time to do it!

Seriously, while the arcane aspects of yobidashi, from names to
towel-folding, may seem -- indeed, may be -- trivial, this kind of thing is
what makes this list special.  Even when I lived in Japan, I doubt that
anyone I knew could supply the breadth and depth of sumo knowledge and
awareness that I find here.  It puts sumo into three dimensions and makes
it come alive, even for those of us in places very remote from the dohyo.
