I was glad when I read this mail. I absolutely agree with it, and I
hope that Takanohana will win over Hepatitis with an easy okuridashi. :)
And I am really happy that finally a real America-fan sent this mail to
the list... And this mail wasn't about 'the Hawaiians are better then the
Futogoyama', but about Humanity. So respect goes to Otakeyama. Thank you
for this mail.

First, Thanks to Nogaihayim for the kind words. Although I may have come
forward and voiced this sentiment, I truly believe this is the feeling for the
majority of those on this list. We are all fans of a sport that sets the
standard for respect and honor. I think we become life long fans because of
this aspect. Yes, we love the power and the skill but many sports have that.
This sport puts in the extra element of "Honor".

It is true, when Takanohana was on the Dohyo I always cheered for the opposing
rikishi. I am a BIG fan of the Americans but I also recognize superior skill
when I see it. Even though he didn't have to wrestle his heya mates, he was
still the best at what he did. He was so good he was usually boring. And I
say that as a compliment. He truly is a great Yokozuna. I must be honest
with myself and give him his due and my respect.

I hope that he can fully overcome this ailment and be back on the Dohyo where
I can once again cheer for his defeat. Until then, he will be in my prayers.

Sayonara,
