My interpretation of #2 and 3 is basically he was in the state of "out of mind"
one way or the other. #2 showed his frustration of some sort. #3 was "off the
timing".

I remember how #3 happend. He was getting chikara-mizu and put the water into his
mouse as usual. Then he was supposed to rinse his mouse and pit the water
immediately into the backet while he was in squatting position at the corner of
the dohyo stage. Instead, he simply got the salt and stand-up facing the center
of dohyo while he was still rinsing his mouse with the water. When he was about
to step over the dohyo circle, his mouse got open and the water was spread wide
at the foot in front of him onto the inside of dohyo circle. People including me,
could not believe what they saw. Takanohana avoided to get his feet wet, and
continued his shikiri, if I remember correctly.

I've beeing following sumo for a long long time, at least a few decades, but I'd
never seen this type of behavior by a sekitori before Takanohana.

He was not punished for his behavior, I don't think.
