Yes, I agree with Abe-san (always a safe bet!).  I think that
Takahanada was showing some of the immaturity of youth, and it had the
effect of delaying his promotion.  Thinking about it now, I wonder if
the name change to Takanohana was in some small way intended as a
statement "I am not the somewhat immature kid I had been".

IMHO, Takanohana now has an awesome demeanor.  He is calm, dignified,
and seems totally at peace.  Just look as some stills of him while he
is fighting.  I've never seen such a peaceful and calm face on a
fighter!
