RE: Hinkaku
It was my experience while living in Hawaii during my junior high and high
school years (1969 - 1976) that fluent pidgin as spoken by young men (i.e.,
less than 25 - 30 years old) naturally and normally included much swearing,
most especially motherfucker, although normally that word comes out in pidgin
with only about two more-or-less distinct syllables instead of the four
syllables you'd think it should have.
Therefore, I don't think that the concept of "crude" should apply when
Musashimaru speaks in pidgin (including swear words) to Konishiki or any other
fluent pidgin-speaker. They're speaking another language.
