[Sumo Games] ISP Banzuke from Hell :)

OK, here it is...
Thanks to Udon, who had the brilliant idea of doing this
mathematically!! :) Each rank was given a number
(higher rank=higher number), and this was added to the
number of wins last basho. A bonus point was given for
getting a kachi-koshi, and another added for jun-yusho.
Two points would be added for a yusho, but that wasn't needed
this time. Since there were ties, I added the total wins by
your two tiebreakers last time to break them. This seemed
like the most fair and objective way of determining relative
positions.

This should be the only time that you would actually be
demoted after getting a majority of wins. Sorry about that,
but it was unavoidable. If you were one of the few to get
8 wins last time, your relative position was greatly helped!!

I'm surprised that almost everyone who wrote to me was very
much in favor of this change. I hope those who weren't won't
be too upset by it. If most of you hate it after seeing where
you end up, we could always go back to the old way...

If this is unreadable, I posted it at http://www.oz.net/~drc/ban1197.html
in table form.

Thanks,
Dale
