Someone, I believe it was Greg L, "down under" or "up over" depending on
your point of view, made observations that Akebono & Yamato were
approachable and openly friendly, oppose to Musashimaru & Konishiki. Since
I know all of them on a "local da kind" level, I was ready to disagreed
with him, until last night....

I got Yamato an account on GOL for Internet. Went over and helped him get
it set up. We had a major problem, using his mobile phone, but the
resolution was silly, you need to put double 03 in the phone string,
because the default location is Japan, the 81-03 inputted is ignored, but
all ketai phones need 03 added to a number they dial, dah.

Anyway, Yamato takes me over to Akebono's for dinner, unreal!!!!! Their
friends are mostly all from Hawaii or would like to be, including a couple
who word at Sam Choy's at OHdaiba, the guy being the head chef, so so so so
so good food!

Akebono spoke about his hospital visit. They have this special resistance
machine for his legs. He broke it last time, when it maxed at 500 kilos.
Yesterday he broke it at 700 kilos!!! They are calling around for an
upgrade! He said, "and everyone says my legs are not strong enough."

The word on this legs, mostly his knee, is that day to day, feels great,
but once he gets into his sumo stances, he hurts, so is not 100% yet.

But back to Greg's comments, you should seen these two guys, Akebono &
Yamato, having a great time, jumping around, dancing, drinking (tequila is
their preference, ouch), eating, laughing, so warm, so friendly. Then I
remember, growing up in Hawaii, Hawaiian are like that, enjoying life all
the time.
