At tachi-ai they crash into each other and start pushing and thrusting,
Gojoro has Kushimaumi going back, he keeps pushing and thrusting and
gets him out for a tsukidashi win.

At tachi-ai Minatofuji charges into Kenko, Kenko quickly wraps him up
and drives him to the edge of the dohyo and pushes him out for a
yorikiri win.

   KOTONOWAKA      Maegashira-10W  (6-5)
At tachi-ai they crash into each other and start pushing and thrusting,
they struggle in the middle trying to grab each other's mawashi,
Kotonowaka tries to grab and throw down Yamato behind the neck, he gets
a good grip on the mawashi and drives Yamato to the edge and pushes him
out for a yorikiri win.

   Mainoumi        Maegashira-15E  (6-5)
At tachi-ai Mainoumi takes a dip as he comes into Daishi, Daishi starts
to push back Mainoumi, they come back to the middle, Daishi tries to get
a hold of the mawashi, Mainoumi fights him off,  Daishi tries to get the
back of the leg of Mainoumi, he then pushes Mainoumi to the edge,
Mainoumi uses the edge to resist, they back come to the middle, they are
both crouching low, finally Daishi pushes Mainoumi to the edge and out
for a yorikiri win.

At tachi-ai they charge into each other, Hamanoshima pushes back
Kotoryu, they struggle in the middle for a while each trying to pick up
the other, Kotoryu tries a throw, they struggle more in the middle,
after trying to push each other out Hamanoshima picks up Kotoryu lifts
him up and carries him to the edge and out for a yorikiri win.

pushes him from behind for an okuridashi win for Kotoinazuma.

back, he gets turned around and Tochiazuma swings him out for a rare
waridashi win for Tochiazuma.

they struggle in the middle, Higonoumi grabs the mawashi and drives back
Aogiyama, he gets him to the edge and drives him out for a sukuinage
win.

At tachi-ai they crash into each other and start pushing and thrusting,
Mitoizumi gets an arm lock and drives back Kitakachidoki, he almost has
him out but just before the edge Kitakachidoki swings down Mitoizumi for
a makiotoshi win.

ring and try and grab each other, Shikishima wraps up Asanowaka and
drives him back and out of the ring for a yorikiri win.

At tachi-ai Kyokushuzan steps to the side, Musashimaru grabs him by the
mawashi, they struggle for a while in the middle, Musashimaru starts
driving back Kyokushuzan and pushes him out for a yorikiri win.

At tachi-ai Takanonami steps to the side and slaps down Musoyama for a
cheap hatakikomi win.

   Tosanoumi       Sekiwake-W      (8-3)
At tachi-ai they Tosanoumi crashes into Takanohana, tries to push him
back, he slaps at him, they come to the middle of the ring and struggle
there, Takanohana tries to grab the mawashi, they struggle and struggle
trying to push each other out, they go around the ring from one side to
another fighting and fighting, Tosanoumi almost steps out at one point,
finally Takanohana drives Tosanoumi to the edge and pushes him out but
goes out as well, it is not clear who went out first so the judges get
together and decide that the winner is Takanohana for an oshitaoshi win
in a very exciting match. The gyoji first said Tosanoumi had won the
bout but was overruled by the other judges.

   AKEBONO         Yokozuna-W      (9-2)
At tachi-ai Akinoshima steps to the side, Akebono gets down low and
nimbly follows Akinoshima halfway around the ring, wraps him up and
quickly pushes him out of the ring for a yorikiri win.
