Chanko Restaurants - List

In response to an earlier question about chanko-style restaurants, I found
an article (in Japanese) in an annual publication called "Sumo Special
Guide" (Japanese title "DaiSumo Kansen") - for 1997.  It lists 13 such
restuarants in the Ryogoku area, including "Terao" which had received an
enthusiastic review in this newsgroup a month or so ago.  It's run by a
sibling of - you guessed it - and is located at 2-11-2 Ishihara, Sumida-ku
(tel. 03-3626-7541).  Chanko nabe starts at 2,000 and courses run from
4,000. The article features a map, showing the restaurant about four blocks
NE of the Sumo Hall (but maybe that's just because the map's laid out to
look like it's NE).  

If/when I'll get time I'll write up the other 12 restaurants for the
newsgroup, and interested parties can contact me if they'd like a copy of
the map.
