Jean Cocteau's Sumo poem
In the beginning of the movie, "Shiko Funjatta" ("Sumo Do, Sumo Don't"),
the teacher reads a poem by Jean Cocteau based on Cocteau's impressions of
sumo. He reads it in Japanese translation and (I have no knowledge of
French, so please excuse) it sounds like he says the poem is from a book
called "La Plumiere Voyage" (The First Voyage?). Is anyone familiar with
this poem? Can anyone tell me the name of the book? If you like, I could
put the poem on this ML, as copied from the English sub-titles on the
movie. It's not very long, and I really like it!
Louise.
