Re: Sumo Stats
Total win-loss record starts when a rikishi starts honwari,
which is the official match during honbasho. For most rikishi,
that is when he enters Jonokuchi rank. But for most college
graduate rikishi it is when he starts at the bottom of
Makushita rank.
But if it is Maku(no)uchi record, it starts when a rikishi is a
new Maku(no)uchi rikishi, and only the basho when he is active
in Maku(no)uchi. That means if a rikishi demoted to Juyo
after Maku(no)uchi promotion, the record while he is in
Juryo are not counted as Maku(no)uchi win-loss records,
needless to say.
