They aren't, in order to get the % wins or losses, you have to divide the
number thereof by the *total number of matches*, ie, you add the wins and
losses of each sumotori and divide their number of wins by that number.
That way you won't get negative % (???)

Actually, you will find it is 74.68% *lifetime* but I suspect if you just
look at the bassho from the last year or so, it will be much higher,
probably >90%
