As the article indicated, it happened about a year ago.
In that sense, it is not a "news". We talked about it a lot in
this ML at the time. Onaruto Oyakata (former Sekiwake
Kotetsuyama) and his "friend/sponsor" died at virtually the
same time and from same illness at the same hospital, and
Oharuto was writing series of articles about fixed matches
and other unethical behaviors by people in Sumo Kyokai
including both oyakata and rikishi. After his death his book
was published and shaked Sumo Kyokai quite a bit, though
virtually nothing happened, except Futagoyama's tax problem
and Sumo Kyokai decided to form a committee to discuss
about the Toshiyori-kabu issue.
