Kaio - Eurosport - My opinion

Hello all,

I found some new (at least new for *me*) sumo pages. Those who like
Kaio, can visit following pages:

http://www.bcc-net.co.jp/nogata/kaio.html

This page is in Japanese. There is some information about Kaio-zeki,
also his daily results on Kyushu and Hatsu Basho (still no results of
Haru Basho) and ALL his results since 1988.

There is another page called "Yorikiri". It's in Japanese, too. You
can send letters to Takasago and Tomozuna-beya from here.

http://www.campusnet.or.jp/~rung/yorikiri/index.html

And there is a third page I found, there are beautiful Sumo wood
prints here:

There will be changes on *my own* sumo page, too, I'll inform you
about them next week.

EUROSPORT: Haru Basho's first three days on April 7 at 20:30 GMT !!!!!

It seems they divided their sumo broadcast up, earlier they showed all
bouts on 5 consecutive days, but now who knows when do they show them?
:-( I'll try to follow their schedule and inform you about it. But
remember that if there is a "more important" sports event, like for
example a neverending tennis cup match, they won't show sumo!

------------------------------

And now let me tell you about some of my personal opinion:

I like to be a member of this ML and I always read everything with
great interest. I agree with those who say that list members should
limit themselves to sumo themes only, but if they have other things to
say, let them speak. Every information can be interesting for someone.
Even if you think about something that's useless, who knows, maybe
there is somebody who'll be glad of it. Please continue your postings,
but please indicate in the subject line if it's not a Sumo theme.

And let me take the liberty to comment Abe-san's message. I'm really
grateful to him for all his great work he does for this mailing list.
If I ask something from him, I do it not because I think he's a sumo
guru (and I hope nobody thinks so), but he's *really* that person who
knows the most facts about sumo among us and he always gives detailed
replies about anything. I can't add more and if somebody is still in
doubt, please read again his letter (Date: Tue, 01 Apr 1997 13:13:43
-0800, From: Masumi Abe <abe@sentius.com>, Subject: Re: (Q)
Yobidashi-what?).

Thank you Abe-san for everything and please keep your postings. I'm
sure there are many of us who -like me- can get at least 90% of their sumo
news from your letters only.

And (I promise I'll stop soon :-) ) some words about recent discussion
of David Aragon's new list of SML members. I don't see any danger in
publishing my data on the Net. These data which he asked for, are not
so significant by my opinion. You can read my name, email address
location and URL in my signature at the end of my every letter. The
only thing you can't read there is my age and my "sumo years". But I'm
sure this doesn't lead to a lot of trouble if there is published
somewhere that I'm 29, I follow sumo events since 1995 Aki Basho (I
wrote it in a longer letter to this list) and unfortunately I have
never seen any basho in Japan. You may ask now: "Who's interested in
Bandey's age?". Well, nobody. It's just for statistics, and if you
don't want to give your data, then don't do, it's everyone's right to
tell about himself or not.

But David, may I ask you not to post members' list to the ML every
day? We can see it on your page. Thanx.

He didn't ask about my credit card number, number of passport, bank
account etc. These things are *really* my private matter and I won't
speak about them even to a revenue officer. ;-)

Thank you for reading my letter. I wish you all the bests. Have a nice
weekend.

Gambatte,
Bandey "Nekonishiki"
