Re: (Q) Yobidashi-what?

I feel this is something extra and I hope I don't need to waste
"bandwidth" again. But I feel I should post this before giving
wrong impression of me posting so many stuff.

First of all, I am not angry with David, and at least I hope I
am not the type of person get angry from someone who express
opinions different from mine. But if you let me express my
feeling about your post, I don't appreciate the last paragraph
too much, honestly speaking.

There was a big and active discussion in this ML before, if I
am a sumo guru or not, and I force my opinion to others, and
many members of ML blindly believe what I wrote. As I expressed
what I am at the time as "a librarian of sumo information", I
just happened to have more sumo information than most of you
and I just share those information with this ML.

I used to post much more information even without any questions,
but I stopped doing so, because I don't want to get misunderstood
my intention of flooding with sumo information. I decided when
someone asks a question and I happened to be able to answer to the
question, I post what I know.

Because of my lack of knowledge on the particular subject, or
because of the limitation of English language, I may not give
an accurate answer to a question. I'm the first one to admit that
I make mistakes so often, including the things about sumo, needless
to say.

The thing I feel sad about is that some people get the impression
of I forming a sumo cult as a sumo guru. I don't think I have a
fearful personality or a person who easily get angry. The people
who know me personally, know that I have a tendency of sympathizing the
minority side and being against so-called
"authority". I am for multiple-value society. I really don't like
perfectionists or authoritarians.

It's all relative, I think. I can imagine that there are so many
Japanese people who knows and with deeper knowledge
on sumo than I do. I just happened to have more sumo information
than most of the members of this ML. That's all.

I hope you don't feel pressured to add those extra paragraph
David added at the end of his posting. The more posts the better
this sumo ML will get and if I don't contribute to "the more the
better", I'll think about how to contribute better to it.

Positively or negatively, I really don't appreciate if someone
treats me as a guru.
