Everyone is entitled to their opinion. If you don't want to participate
that's fine. Personally I and many of the others on the Sumo mail list
see the fun in a list of this nature. 

I take it that you will not be looking at the personal information of
others that have willingly submitted their personal information and
found no harm in doing so. 

The intent is to allow fellow members on the list to know a little about
each other. Nobody is forcing anybody to do anything. If you or others
feel uncomfortable disclosing their personal information that's fine. 

Let's see... Who might benefit from a list of Sumo enthusiasts? Oh yea!
Some mawashi manufacturer in Tokyo is just dying for me to complete the
list so he can approach everybody with his new line of designer mawashi. 

Seriously, if people want to monitor our mail list and our Sumo Web
pages to spamm or include us in their mass mailings they will, with or
with my list.
