Although I do not participate in the hoshitori, my shikona is the same as
my e-mail address.

Kuroshio: Very simple. "Kuro" means black, because I am dark-skinned.
(African American/Latin Caribbean)  "Shio" is "tide", as in Asashio.
"Black tide." 

I am active in sumo, as some of you know, but not a pro, so I don't use
this name in the ring, even though I would love to some day. But it was
given to me by a fan of amateur sumo.
