The origin of my Shikona (Jakyu) has no colorful or interesting
background.  My real name is Dick Jacques (pronounced Jakes) and
when I was in Japan, my name was somehow shortened to Jake-ku.

Wouldn't have even bothered to mention it except I've thoroughly
enjoyed the latest banter instigated by our new friend Faux
Bakanohana.  Absolutely refreshing for our off tournament time.  I
hope she joins the hoshitori.  To FB:  I didn't join for several
basho, thinking that it just wouldn't be any fun.  I can tell you
that my one runner-up finish with a 14-1 record had me on the edge
of my seat to the very end.

Anyway, welcome to the list and thanks for your posts.  You are
very refreshing.
