Our own shikona

I also struggled a bit coming up with my hoshitori shikona. Since I live in
Monterey, California (the one in Mexico has two r's, I believe), I wanted
to include it in my shikona, something like Montoreizan. I couldn't think
of good kanji for montorei, so I settled on my current shikona, which is
Kashuyama. California in Japanese is 'Kashu'.

So for those who might have mistook my shikona to mean "Cashew Mountain,"
now you know the rest of the story.

PS. I am the one who supplied bunzuke prizes before. I will be in Japan
this month and if I can get another batch of banzukes from my
brother-in-law, I will donate them as the second prizes for the upcoming
hoshitori contests.
