I was entirely ignorant of Japanese and relatively ignorant of sumo when,
wanting to enter the Hoshitori competition, I sought advice of a
Japanese-speaking friend for a name which might translate as _ignoramus from
over the water_ or something of the sort. She supplied _Ahonoumi_ which is
certainly accurate, at least in intention, and quite euphonious I think.
