Sumo Mailing List--

My humblest apologies for suggesting the hoshitori
is "a guy thang." This seems to have offended a few
members who don't consider themselves guys. This
is what happens when levity is deemed more important
than political correct-mess. Picture me foot-in-mouf.

I feel even more chagrined implying I would never-ever
join the hoshitori before I actually knew what it was.
Never say never. If pretzels and beer is involved, I may
have to swallow my words along with the pretzels and
beer.

I admit to being creeped out by the idea of "female
lurkers," so kudos to Elin for officially separating
herself from said category. Ideally though, it would be
hoped we are all "one of the guys" as far as the List
is concerned. It's great to find a place where others
express fascination with and support of sumo. I've
already learned lots of new stuff from members that
will make following the next basho even more fun.

Lastly, I'm still mulling over the name change from
BAKANOHANA. Thanks to those who have made
suggestions. I also like BAKANONAMI. Before
committing to a new name, is there a way I can find
out if it has already been taken? I would hate to put
anyone else through John Erlandsson's "Met My
Doppleganger" experience.
                                                Regards,
                                                Faux Bakanohana
