To J.E., The True Bakanohana --
Oooh, the Hanada family is apparently full of secrets, including
MOI, the not-quite-as-famous, not-quite-as-talented SISTER! Ha!
I joined the List last week and have already had one moniker change.
Who'da thunk there could be two sumo nerds clevah enough to come
up such a satisfyingly simple pun. I have underguesstimated the
lowbrow element of this group.
Even though I don't plan to join in the hoshitori contest -- I mean,
that's a guy thang -- I agree there can only be one Bakanohana;
Baka 2 would be 2 confusing for the Sumo List masses.
Hmm. BAKANOHANA is so perfect, combining the ridiculous
with the sublime, I will part with it reluctantly. The BAKA part
has to remain, it's so me. BAKANOWAKA has a euphonious
sound, plus the desirous silly element. Or since I'm a fan of
little Wakanohana, perhaps WAKANOBAKA would be a good
choice. Hey -- with the reissue of the Star Wars series,
CHEWBAKA would be timely. And my ever-helpful Dad has
already suggested BAKANOKAKA. ("Dad! How rude! Get a grip!")
I have to concede that the Birthday Boy du jour, SumoNow!
( who BTW has deeply offended me with his insult of my religion,
Eastern Birthdayism) has the best idea, retrograding my name to
BAKAHANADA. Anyways, this decision may take some time,
as I'll have to give it much less serious thought. ;o)
Meanwhile, I remain humby yers, Faux Baka
