Day 2 : U P S E T S !!
OZEKI WAKANOHANA LOST! OZEKI TAKANONAMI LOST!
Sekiwake Kaio beat ozeki Wakanohana! Ozeki Wakanohana showed his
good ottsuke pushing attack against armstrong Kaio, but Kaio held
and pulled Waka's left arm and took advantage. Kaio pushed Waka
and Waka tried to escape at the edge of the dohyo, but it didn't success.
Wakanohana stepped out of the dohyo and lost!
Another sekiwake Kotonishiki beat ozeki Takanonami! Kotonishiki digged
into tall Takanonami's chest at the tachiai and took advantage. Defensive
Takanonami tried to step back and pull Kotonishiki, but Kotonishiki followed
it and pushed out ozeki! Good sumo, Kotonishiki !
Yokozuna Akeobno, lost the bout on Day 1, faced tall gentleman Kotonowaka
today. Both tall and big guys exchanged spiritful thrusts each other
and at the edge of the dohyo yokozuna gripped Koto's belt and forced him
out! Akebono won!
Challenger Daishoho showed his surprise tachiai against big ozeki Musashimaru.
Daishoho sidestepped and gripped Musashi's uwate-belt quickly. And Daishoho
swing ozeki quickly and tried to upset ozeki, but Musashimaru didn't upset
and took off Daishoho's mawashi grip and forced him out! Musahsimaru won!
The sumo pool bout : Mongolian star Kyokushuzan beat superheavy Konishiki!
Kyokushuzan ran into huge Konishiki at the tachiai, and Konihsiki pushed
him out. Konishiki tried to pushed Kyoku again to the edge of the dohyo,
Kyoku showed quick moving and escaped from it. Konishiki stepped out
forward himself! Kyokushuzan won!
