Aki-basho

          Chums,
          
          just having a quick look over the list of yusho 
          results, in anticipation of the coming basho, that 
          Abe-san so kindly provided for us last year, when 
          my eye settled on the yusho winner for  Natsu 1983 
          & Nagoya 1985, Hokutenyu.
          
          I remember he was a large and powerful rikishi who 
          was active until at least 1990.
          
          Can anyone give a quick resume of the career of 
          one of my favourite 1980's rikishi?
          
          I'm in a real sumo fever now since I'll at last 
          get to realise an long cherished ambition to see 
          the sumitori in action, live at the Aki-basho in 
          Sept. Yippeee!!
