You may be disappointed. I like sumo a lot and I am bored to death by
Greco Roman wrestling.

BTW, Onaruto's yaocho story has made its way to the pages of the respected
"Economist". (Ringleaders?, June 22nd 1996, p. 103). While the accompanying
picture and in particular its caption are quite disrespectful (a child
practicing sumo with the remark: I must, I must improve my bust), the article
is written in a rather cautious way, i.e., the journalist could not make up
his/her mind if the accusations should be believed. There is not much in the
article that has not yet been discussed here, except for one information:

"No wrestler may speak to the press without approval from the JSA. Indeed, the
Weekly post is so frustrated about the taboo on printing unfavourable news
about the sumo association that it is actively encouraging foreign reporters
to cover the scandal. It then reprints the results in its own papers, as
evidence that the JSA is bringing the sport into disrepute overseas".
