Vickie,

Here's a quick and dirty on the hoshitori. For more details,
send email to the server at majordomo@esssjp.stat.ncsu.edu
with no Subject needed. In the message body type this:

get Natsu.txt
end

and then mail it. This is about a 9k file with all the
info, though the dates and prizes are going to change.
As you're 19 hours behind Japan, you'll have to get the
entry in by 5:00 PM on Saturday. Let me know if you have
any problems getting what you need.

OK, everyone, here's the latest scoop. Time to get those noggins in gear
to pick the best and brightest in Nagoya. I don't happen to have a copy
of the Makuuchi banzuke here (I'm at home now), so if you need one, let
me know and I can send it to you on Monday. If you can access the web,
you can see some stats about the rikishi in various sites on sumo. A
couple of weeks back or so Masumi-zeki sent out a listing of useful ones.
Maybe he'll post an update ( !! ).

***Entries (one per person) due to me by 12:00 noon on July 6th (Japan
local time, which is GMT +9 hours), Shonichi of the Nagoya Basho.

I've sent out the hoshitori banzuke today, so all of you should know
what your rank is. If you have deleted it or whatever, just leave
the line blank. If it's your first time, just type in a "J" for it.

If you can use the web, you can enter through the following url:

http://www.dai.ed.ac.uk/students/ianf/Sumo/

This site has a few checks installed so your spelling gets fixed, and
it will send you (and me!) a copy of the entry via email.

If you are unable to access the web, simply cut the form from the
bottom and paste it into an email with your info and send it straight
to me only. (riley@hachi.hi-tech.ac.jp)
