I like this idea, and I think it would make a more interesting contest.

I think I would prefer it if everyone started from a level playing 
field. 
Your choices should not be affected by your current ranking - but that's 
just my opinion :-).
I really enjoy this contest, and it adds greatly to the pleasure I get 
from following sumo. Thanks to all who make it possible.
