Akebono's news

There was a small note in the Japan Times this morning, and
I saw some more on the afternoon gossip show. Akebono (27)
is madly in love and plans to marry his friend of some 3 years,
Ms. Yu Aihara (29). She is a TV personality, though seems to
have been out of circulation recently. Then again, I don't
watch that much either. Anyhow, they haven't set any date as
of yet, but look pretty happy about the coming event. Should
be a good way for the Sumo Kyokai to deflect some of the bad
press that's come up lately, so I'd look for quite a big bash
when it happens. Best wishes to the big guy and his future
companion! I hope he can give her the Emperor's Cup soon.
