Makunouchi Banzuke Page
Re: Japanese vs English language (re: apology)
After reading this thread this morning I thought I would make a proposal to
those on the list who are more knowledgeable than I.
At this time there is not much happening in the Sumo world so this may be a
good opportunity to run a contest or two. I have three banzuke from
Tochinowaka (one of which has Akebono listed as the East Yokozuna) which I
am willing to donate as prizes if someone can develop and run a contest.
One thought I had for a contest was a terminology and/or history contest for
those new to the list and/or Sumo. This would also be an opportunity for all
to see what they don't know (including me!)
If there is an interest in this please let me know.
Regards,
Paul Sweeney
PS: Thanks to all who contribute to the list. I have learned much from you
and am very grateful to receive the daily results from each tournament.
