NHK at noon announced Wakanohana will also withdraw from the
basho from today (4th day 1/10/96).  The reason is a problem
of liver functions, the announcer said.  He himself is still
enthsiastic for the basho, but Futagoyama Oyakata (his real
father) made him withdraw.
