Asahiyutaka 1-1 yoritaoshi Musashimaru 1-1
Takanohana 2-0 okuridashi Kitakachidoki 1-1
Tosanoumi 1-1 oshidashi Akebono 0-2
Whoa, nellie! Tosanoumi just smoked Akebono! The big
man never got anything started, and Tosanoumi came
at him with a good strong push, got Ake moving and
then easily pushed him out. Worst loss I can recall
for Ake. Hmmm. Musoyama took it to Wakanohana, who
also falls to 0-2. Musashimaru couldn't make the real
tsuppari work again, and the improving Asahiyutaka got
around it to push him out and down. This one really
called for a mono-ii, but the shimpan did nothing, to
the surprise of Musashimaru. It's starting to look
like a cruise for Takanohana already, who's been his
best in Tokyo.
Nokotta Nokotta!!
