Hoshitori news

Hope the holidays are kind to all! I've been a bit wrapped
up in various things this month, so this is a little late.

A few things concerning the upcoming Hoshitori:

1) Ian is out for a bit, so we won't have his results for
the first few days. Once he gets back and is set up,
then everything will roll happily along.

The next one is VERY important!!

2) Due to the above, please do not send your entries to
Ian, only to me this time.

3) No changes in the scoring system. A couple of items
were mentioned during the Kyushu Basho, but nobody
got back to me on them and I forgot.

4) Another of our fine members has offered to donate a
banzuke as a prize, but the position has not been
determined (3rd, 32nd, last, etc). So, Ivar, what do
   you think?

5) As the Hatsu Basho starts on January 7th, make sure
you get the entry to me by noon on that date, Japan
   Time (GMT +9 hours).

6) I haven't seen any info yet about anyone's status,
so I'm no help yet. Akebono had twisted some muscles
which doesn't sound too serious, but I really don't
   know what he's doing.

7) The actual Hoshitori posting will be out after I hear
from Ivar about the banzuke prize. If he's away on a
trip or whatever and can't get back to me by Monday,
I'll just send it out anyway and we can deal with that
   item later.

8) If you didn't save Masumi-san's info, here it is again.
It's helpful as a guide to see the new rank and each
   man's record in Kyushu:
